Eucharistic Miracles of Italy - 12 days

 

Day 1 Depart U.S.A. - Depart from Newark Airport.

Day 2 Rome - After hotel check-in, balance of the day is at leisure in the "Eternal City"

Day 3 Rome - A Full day tour of Rome will follow continental breakfast at the hotel. The group will visit the Catacombs, the Appaian Way, Capitoline Hill, St. Peter in Chains, Colosseum, Arch of Costantine, Circus Maximus, and Palazzo Venezia. Also visit three major basilicas in Rome including St. Mary Major, St. John Latheran, and St. Paul Outside of the Walls.

Day 4 Rome ( Orvieto Excursion ) - After breakfast for a guided tour of St. Peter’s basilica as well as a visit to the Vatican Museum including the Sistine Chapel. Depart in the afternoon to visit Orvieto, the town closely associated with the Eucharistic Miracle. Visit the famous Cathedral of Orvieto, dating back to 1288.

Day 5 Rome/Naples/Pompei/Sorrento - After breakfast, depart for Naples, visit the church of St. Januarius and the church dedicated to St. Alphonsus Liguori. Continue to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary for Mass. Enjoy a visit to the excavations of Pompei.

Day 6 Sorrento/San Giovanni Rotondo - Depart for Lanciano and Loreto after breakfast. The group will enjoy a tour of Padre Pio’s tomb and cell, the old church where he received the stigmata, and his confessional. Mass will be celebrated at the Tomb of Padre Pio. Also the group will visit the cave of St. Michael.

Day 7 San Giovanni Rotondo/Lanciano/Loreto - Depart for Lanciano and Loreto after breakfast. Arrive in Lanciano for Mass and a visit to the relic of the living flesh of Jesus in a special Monstrance and Tabernacle. Then enjoy an explanation of the miracle by the Fr. Gabrielle ( if available ). The group will continue to Offida, the site of a special Eucharistic Miracle in the area. Late in the afternoon arrival in Loreto, with sightseeing of the Basilica where the home of the Holy Family of Nazareth now stands without a foundation.

Day 8 Loreto/Assisi - After breakfast, the group will attend Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Loreto. Depart for Assisi, enjoy an orientation tour of Assisi, the town of beloved St. Francis, including the Basilica of St. Francis, the tomb, convent and incorrupt body of St. Clare, as well as Basilica of St. Mary of the Angel, containing the Partiuncula, Rose Garden, State of St. Francis with the live doves, and various relics.

Day 9 Assisi/Florence - En route to Florence, visit Siena, the town associated with St. Catherine. Upon arrival in Florence, the group will enjoy a brief orientation tour including: visit to Santa Croce, the Duomo, the Baptistery, and the famous state of "David".

Day 10 Florence/Rosa Mystica/Montechiari/Milan - Depart from Florence. En route, a visit will be made to the Shrine of Rosa Mystica. Proceed to Montechiari as well as Fontanelle, where pilgrims can fill receptacles with special holy water to take home and use for pious or therapeutic purposes.

Day 11 Milan - Depart after breakfast for a half-day tour of Milan, including visit to the Duomo and the famous "Galleria", La Scala Opera House will be pointed out from bus. If available, the group will view the famous painting "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci, located in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Afternoon at leisure in Milan.

Day 12 Milan/U.S.A. - Depart for Milan Airport. Arrive home same day.
